Reason: Michael Powell's Invisible Legacy : If the FCC chairman loved markets, he had a funny way of showing it - Why are we letting our government and Big Entertainment push us around? Government works for the People, not for the Hollywood movie studios. Yet, on our behalf, the FCC is supporting the new Broadcast Flag that will limit what we can do with content that is beamed into our homes. For example, it is perfectly legal to use TV clips in a school report about the prevalence of hot chicks in prime time. But on July 1st, I'll no longer be able to capture that TV footage on a digital device (ie, my computer with digital tuner) and then manipulate it for my report.
And no one seems to care. It makes me crazy.
